Jodi Hill
Jodi Hill serves as Secretary on the Door of Hope Board of Directors.
Delighted to be part of what we’re doing at Door of Hope as an answer to God’s call…
It all started in the mid-to-late 1990s when God made me aware of the magnitude of domestic abuse and asked me to pray for the church to start addressing it. For years, I prayed and looked unsuccessfully for information on the church addressing domestic abuse.
In 2010, I heard about and started volunteering at perhaps the first Christian nonprofit women's shelter in the U.S., The Dwelling Place. I worked there from 2012 to 2016.
In 2015, I joined Door of Hope as a volunteer and, from 2016 to 2019, I worked as a consultant. In 2019 I was invited to join the board.
I sense that today God is calling His people to address domestic abuse both inside and outside church walls, and around the world. There are so many prayers unanswered, so many children traumatized, so many families in pain without a way out.
I’m convinced that with God, all things are possible and that He is answering prayers through ministries like ours. What Door of Hope is doing is nothing less than miraculous - God is here and is pulling out the stops. I stand in awe and look forward to continuing to watch Him work through our efforts and to being a part of bringing His peace and joy to families around the world!
If God has called you to join us - Thank you for saying yes! We’re delighted you’re with us!
